Who Decides What I Wear?

Following is a list of people who decide what I "should" wear everyday
1.  Roadside Romeos : This is an elite class of people who would pass lame comments to woman they see going to work , college or anywhere to do something more important , than them . Now I must warn you that woman's clothes have nothing to do with their useless comments and stalking .
Warning! They will also stalk you if you turn out of your house wearing a burkah , covered from head to toe in clothes . This class of people would murmer their favourite tunes from a cheap Bhojpuri movie and laugh around with others of the same mentality.
2. Woman : If you found this shocking , Wait till you read more . A lot of woman would raise their eyebrows if you ain't wearing something they label as "descent" , the definition of "descent" only known to them . This particular "group" of woman may comprise of your neighbour , who is so frustrated with her life  because she never got to wear what she wished , So how can you ? , Or your relative , who cannot see you doing better than her children and hence accuse you ( and your parents ) for loose moral values.
Ah ! Pity the jealous .
3. Self proclaimed leaders : Group of people who propagate the idea of woman covered from head to toe because it resonates with the idea of our sanskriti  ( our heritage , morally and socially ) .Ok , Now before you talk about sanskriti , it becomes important to remind you that , it is this "very" sanskriti that gave woman , the very freedom to choose her groom through "swayamwar" . In fact , "pardah system" was never a part of Indian royalty , until afcourse Mughals invaded India . ( I guess I got my facts correct here) and clothes were worn according to a person's designation and climate . A queen would wear finest of silks and expensive jewels whereas a wife of a potter would wear plain cloth , drapped around her . A woman living in mountains would wear wool and the one living along the coast lines , plain cotton .
I guess our sanskriti is more about giving respect to each other and leading a peaceful and meaningful life

The idea is that a woman can wear anything she wishes to , if she wants to wear a saree , so be it and if she likes to wear skirts , yeah ! Why not?
Yes there are men and women who blame a girl and her dressing sense if she is a victim of someone's crude mentality but , It's important to remember , a woman doesn't dress to impress anyone , But herself . She wears it because she likes it .
If you have upsetting thoughts or if you bear a sad mentality , don't put the blame on a girl's clothes . Crime against Woman donot happen because what she wore was inappropriate , afterall even minor girls aged a few months are a victim , what wrong could she have wore to "provoke" someone?

A Shade Of Pink :Feminism

"Who pays when you ask a feminist out?"
"Who asks a feminist out?"
We have all read such statements and often laughed till our stomach hurts. Being a feminist,I find it hard to digest that such "jokes" are meant to entertain. For me,they are a produce of a pervert who just cannot handle an equal stature with a woman. Honestly, they donot deserve an equal stature with a woman.
Feminism doesn't imply that a woman is superior over man. It simply means that a woman is equal to man. Ofcourse,no one should be respected for his/her gender but no one should be disgusted/insulted for it.Before being a woman, she is a human, like all men,so, whats the hullabo about?
Feminism is a human quality and not some word in an urban dictionary. Its disgusting to think that even today,a woman's vote is considered half as good as a man's in some countries.
Made up of flesh and bones herself, her decisions are often questioned,as if having a pair of testis gives you extra brain.
A woman doesn't need a man. It's the man who often needs a woman. She doesn't need someone to remind her who she is. She is an epitome of beauty and intelligence and a proud creation of God.
In what words shall I praise you woman
What shall I say about you?
It's hard to bind you to words
Its hard to tell you too....
